Dr Rocky Cheng, CEO of Cyberport, said, “As global innovation and capital markets undergo accelerated reshaping, AI, data technology, and emerging industries have become crucial engines driving economic growth. CVCF is dedicated to building a bridge between innovation and capital. This year’s forum focuses on new trends such as AI, digital assets, and One-Person Companies (OPCs), exploring emerging market opportunities and global expansion strategies. It decodes how enterprises can drive scalable growth with speed and resilience in a rapidly changing market. Through our investor matching activities, we aim to facilitate the commercialisation of innovations and cross-regional collaboration. Cyberport will continue to leverage its role as Hong Kong’s digital tech flagship and AI accelerator to foster a thriving I&T ecosystem and inject new momentum into building Hong Kong as an international innovation and technology hub.”
Cyberport’s start-ups have demonstrated robust fundraising performance over the past year. With 481 companies joining the community during this period, Cyberport start-ups have raised over HK$74.5 billion in funding. During the year, 19 Cyberport companies successfully listed, alongside the addition of 2 new unicorns. Recent high-value fundraising rounds include Finloop, Qupital, Premialab, and Buy&Ship, many of which leverage AI, blockchain, and digital assets - reflecting sustained market confidence in these emerging technologies and underscoring Cyberport's success in fostering their development.

Hendrick Sin, Chairman of Cyberport Investors Network (CIN) Steering Group; Co-Founder of CMGE Technology Group Limited; Chairman of China Prosperity Capital, said, “Cyberport Investors Network (CIN) has come to its 9th anniversary this year, and our network of over 240 global investors has successfully facilitated more than HK$6 billion across over 133 project matchings, representing an increase of over 19 projects compared to last year. Simultaneously, the Cyberport Macro Fund (CMF), alongside co-investments, has directed HK$2.7 billion into high-potential ventures, with a co-investment ratio of 1:9:3., reflecting strong investor confidence in Cyberport companies. Through dedicated initiatives and our targeted investor matching sessions, CVCF continues to bridge high-growth ventures with institutional co-investment partners, public-private funds and foster collaboration across government, industry, academia, research, investment, and users, propelling enterprise scale across regional corridors.”
As Hong Kong’s digital tech hub, AI accelerator and key incubator, Cyberport leverages the Cyberport Investors Network (CIN) to attract influential investment units from around the world to connect with high-potential Cyberport enterprises to accelerate their development. Since its inception in 2017, the total investments facilitated by CIN have reached over HK$6 billion across a cumulative total of 133 project matchings. CIN’s investment units have surpassed 240, with 15% from the Greater Bay Area and 14% from the Asia-Pacific region, alongside continuous expansion into the Middle East and ASEAN, successfully aggregating global venture capital.
Another key financing channel, Cyberport Macro Fund (CMF), continues to invest in high-potential start-ups while enhancing their fundraising capabilities. As of September 2026, CMF has invested in 30 start-up projects, with the total investment, including co-investments, exceeding HK$2.7 billion, with a co-investment ratio of 1:9.3 — meaning every HK$1 invested by Cyberport attracts an additional HK$9.3 in co-investment. Further augmenting ecosystem liquidity, Cyberport, BOCHK Asset Management, and BOC Group Investment have formed a strategic partnership in May 2026 around a completed venture capital fund to back promising Hong Kong I&T start-ups. This demonstrates Cyberport’s sustained ability to attract and secure capital in a challenging environment.
Cyberport companies have recently achieved remarkable success across venture capital fundraising, advanced technology commercialisation, and international market expansion. Among them, leading Cyberport community members, including global Web5 wealth technology platform Finloop, independent fintech and data analytics platform Premialab, and cross-border fintech platform Qupital, shared their insights on navigating capital cycles, deploying next-generation financial architectures, and scaling from Hong Kong into regional and global markets.

Beyond providing a vibrant community of innovators, Cyberport’s dynamic ecosystem provides an invaluable springboard for us with leading commercial banks, brokerages, and External Asset Managers (EAMs) across Hong Kong and Singapore, accelerating our mission to build compliant and institutional-grade infrastructure that unlocks new liquidity and value flows across the region.”
Pierre Trecourt, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Premialab, emphasized the growing importance of advanced data analytics in multi-asset investing, “In an increasingly complex and volatile market environment, institutional investors need greater transparency and sophisticated analytics to construct resilient portfolios, benchmark systematic investment strategies, and manage risk. Winston Wong, Co-Founder and CEO of Qupital, discussed their milestone achievements in digital economy lending and underscored Cyberport’s long-standing backing throughout their journey, “Cyberport has played an integral role throughout Qupital’s journey from a homegrown startup to a profitable Series C fintech company. Under the support of Cyberport’s investor networks and platforms, we are proud to have become the first platform in Asia to securitise e-commerce merchant loans while sustaining industry-leading credit performance and profitability. Our journey truly reflects how Cyberport empowers homegrown fintech pioneers to scale sustainable cross-border supply chain financing across the Greater Bay Area and global markets.”

Sustainability has become more than just a buzzword—it’s a movement that’s reshaping business practices across industries. For small businesses, aligning with sustainable values isn’t just about doing the right thing; it’s about staying competitive in a world where consumers increasingly prioritize eco-conscious brands.
In the digital age, sustainable marketing is evolving rapidly, offering businesses new ways to reduce their environmental impact while engaging with customers who care deeply about the planet. Let’s take a closer look at the top trends driving sustainable marketing today and their implications for small businesses.
Most people don’t realize that online advertising has an environmental cost. Every time an ad is displayed, clicked on, or streamed as a video, it consumes energy. This energy powers the servers, data centers, and networks that host and deliver these ads. The problem is that much of this energy still comes from non-renewable sources like coal and natural gas, which contribute to carbon emissions.
For small businesses, this could mean optimizing ad campaigns to reduce unnecessary data usage or using platforms that offset their carbon emissions. Additionally, adopting lighter website designs and faster-loading ads can not only reduce energy consumption but also improve user experience—leading to better engagement and conversion rates.
Small businesses can stand out by making their digital campaigns both efficient and eco-friendly. Highlighting these efforts in marketing messages can appeal to sustainability-minded customers while showcasing innovation.
Sustainable packaging is no longer optional—it’s an expectation. But for small businesses, it’s not just about switching to biodegradable materials. It’s about effectively communicating those efforts to customers through digital channels.
Brands are using their websites, social media, and email marketing to share the stories behind their packaging choices. Whether it’s sourcing recycled materials or partnering with eco-friendly suppliers, transparency is key. Educational content, such as videos or infographics, can help customers understand the impact of their purchases and feel good about supporting a brand.
By using digital platforms to tell the story of their sustainability efforts, small businesses can create deeper emotional connections with customers. Sharing behind-the-scenes processes or celebrating packaging milestones can boost loyalty and differentiate a brand from competitors.
Influencer marketing has become a powerful tool for brands, and the rise of eco-conscious influencers is creating new opportunities for businesses that prioritize sustainability. These influencers focus on topics like waste reduction, ethical consumption, and eco-friendly lifestyles, making them an ideal partner for sustainable brands.
Collaborating with such influencers allows small businesses to reach niche audiences that are already committed to sustainable living. These partnerships feel more authentic compared to traditional ads, as followers trust influencers to recommend products that align with their values.
Even small businesses with limited budgets can benefit from micro-influencers —individuals with smaller but highly engaged audiences. Partnering with eco-conscious influencers can amplify a business’s sustainability message and create a ripple effect of awareness.
Consumers today are more skeptical of vague claims like "green" or "eco-friendly." They want specifics. Brands that embrace transparency by sharing measurable data about their sustainability efforts are earning trust and loyalty.
For example, brands that disclose the carbon footprint of their products or provide detailed information about their supply chains stand out in an age of greenwashing (misleading sustainability claims). This trend is particularly relevant for small businesses, as customers often expect smaller, local brands to be more ethical and transparent.
Being upfront about sustainability efforts—even if they’re still a work in progress—can build credibility. Sharing challenges, milestones, and small wins through social media or email newsletters makes the brand relatable and trustworthy.
The circular economy—a model in which products are reused, repaired, or recycled instead of discarded—is gaining momentum. Small businesses are finding creative ways to incorporate this principle into their operations and marketing.
For example, some businesses encourage customers to return used products in exchange for discounts or loyalty points. Others upcycle returned goods into new products and share this process with customers through digital platforms.
By participating in the circular economy, small businesses can differentiate themselves while building a loyal customer base. Promoting these initiatives online—whether through videos, blogs, or customer testimonials—can amplify their impact and attract eco-conscious buyers.
Sustainable marketing is more than a trend—it’s becoming a necessity for businesses of all sizes. For small businesses, it represents both an opportunity to stand out in a competitive market and a chance to make a meaningful impact on the planet.
Emerging trends like green digital advertising, circular economy initiatives, and transparency are reshaping how brands connect with their audiences. By embracing these practices, small businesses can attract eco-conscious consumers, build loyalty, and foster trust—all while reducing their environmental footprint.
The future of marketing belongs to those who see sustainability not as an add-on, but as the foundation of their growth. For small businesses ready to take on this challenge, the rewards go beyond profits—they include making a lasting, positive impact on the planet and the people who inhabit it.
